What should I expect when I contact your office?
When you contact my office, you can expect a response within 24–48 business hours. We will briefly discuss your needs, answer any questions, and review scheduling and payment options. If we are a good fit, you will receive instructions to complete intake paperwork through our secure client portal prior to your first session. My goal is to make the process simple and supportive from the start.
What should I expect from my first appointment?
Your first appointment is a time for us to get to know one another. We will review your intake information, discuss what brings you to counseling, and talk about your goals for therapy. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the counseling process. This session is designed to feel supportive, collaborative, and focused on helping you feel comfortable moving forward.
What does the counseling process look like?
The counseling process is collaborative and tailored to your individual needs and goals. Sessions typically focus on exploring concerns, building coping skills, and developing insight and strategies for growth. I will work with you at a pace that feels comfortable, adjusting the approach as needed to support progress and lasting change.
What are your fees? Do you accept Insurance?
I accept BCBS, Aetna, Optum/United Healthcare insurance plans and offer private-pay options. Payment is due at the time of the session. For more details or to discuss sliding scale options, please contact me.
Are you in-person or tele-health?
I offer both in-person sessions at our office and secure tele-health sessions online. During your first contact, I can discuss which option works best for your needs and schedule. Both options provide the same level of confidentiality and personalized care.
How do I know if counseling is a right fit for me?
Counseling can be a helpful resource for many people experiencing stress, life transitions, anxiety, depression, or other challenges. The best way to know if it’s right for you is to schedule an initial session. During this first meeting, you can discuss your goals, ask questions, and get a sense of whether my approach feels comfortable and supportive. Feeling understood and safe is key to a good fit.
